CCLP is Reopening June 1, 2020

We will be operating two classrooms. Following the Danish model, the children will be outside as much as possible to minimize contagion.

To reduce exposure to number of people, the classes will be made up of the same children and teachers every day.  Therefore, we will only be accepting full-time children to reduce the exposure of children to larger group of children. Community Childhood Learning Place will be open five days a week, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.  Children from outside Maine will not be admitted until the families have self-quarantined for 14-days.

The CDC has given guidelines for childcare facilities, and CCLP will be following them: A staff member, wearing a mask, will meet children at the CCLP entrance, at a designated time. All children will have to be screened each morning to check for fever or other signs of illness. Parents will not be allowed in the building and will leave after the screening. Hand sanitizer will be used to clean hands of children and staff member upon arrival. No child, two-years-of-age and younger, will wear a mask. For all other children mask wearing will be at the discretion of the parents.

The CCLP Board and Staff thanks you for understanding we are following the guidelines mandated for child care centers to ensure the safety of the children.
